Amber began working as a Therapeutic Staff Support in 2010 in an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) classroom, supporting students with Autism. While working as a student’s 1:1 support, Amber was in a Child and Family Counseling Masters Program. Amber soon realized that she was meant to work with children with special needs. She withdrew from the Counseling Program and enrolled into a Masters of Special Education Program. She also pursed a certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis and a certificate in Autism. Once she graduated with her Masters degree, she began working for the Bucks County Intermediate Unit fulfilling the roles of a Behavior Analyst, Emotional Itinerant Support, and Autism Itinerant Support. It was there that Amber supported students in several schools across Bucks County. Amber also worked and received supervision through EDD and The IIBD. Amber then became a co-founder for her company and began consulting with other districts in the area, and working for additional agencies who design ABA programs in the home and school settings. Amber has a passion for conducting Functional Behavior Assessments, designing Positive Behavior Support Plans, designing ABA programs, supervising ABA therapists and RBTs, consulting with parents and school staff, and supporting students to learn social skills and emotional regulation. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS).
We are so excited that Amber has decided to come back to work with EDD as a BCBA Supervisor and Onsite Supervisor!
