Meet Stacy!
Stacy is a Certified Elementary (K-6) and Special Education (N-12) Teacher, possessing a Bachelor of Science Degree From The University Of Scranton. She has worked as a Special Education Assistant, assisting students throughout an Emotional Support Classroom, Collaborating with Teachers and other Staff, Collecting Data for IEP’s and Behavior, Working one on one with a student in Math and ELA, and Assisting a student in the regular education classroom. She has also worked with the Future Stars Day Camp, as a Director and formerly as a Science Instructor. In these roles, she has organized and supervised the instructors and counselors, communicated with parents about situations, Worked with campers to solve problems, Performed different types of science experiments with children ages 4-13, and Collaborated with co-workers. Stacy also worked with Elwyn Seedlings, as an Early Invention Pre-School Teacher for Children with Autism, Teaching nine 3-5 year olds diagnosed with Autism, Designing and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum for the students, communicating with parents daily through a daily note, Directing developmentally appropriate activities, including weekly lesson plans in the areas of all core areas, life skills, speech (receptive and expressive), and sensory, Collecting formal and informal data to track student success, Working collaboratively with and managing paraprofessionals, and Writing and implementing IEPs. Prior to this, Stacy worked at the Hatboro-Horsham School District, Hatboro, Pa, as an LTS K-3 Learning Support Teacher and Building Substitute where she was responsible for planning reading and math lessons for learning support students, Monitoring IEP goals, Modifying general education classroom materials for the learning support students, and Communicating with general education teachers and special area teachers. Stacy also taught at Christ Haven Christian Academy, in Darby, Pa. Here she was a Classroom Teacher, Teaching 3rd and 4th graders Math, Reading, Science, History, English, Bible and Writing, Planning and implementing lessons, and Collaborating with co-workers. She also taught 5th and 6th grade for a year and 1st and 2nd grade for a year. Stacy is trained to administer the QRI, Dibels, DRAs, and The WIATT.
