Meet Kristen!
Kristen began working on behalf of Education Designers in 2006, as an applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapist. She has been a behavioral therapist now for over 10 years working with clients ranging in age from 2-17. She has helped these children make progress in a wide-variety of settings, from home-based instruction to out in public and within the community, teaching social skills and other target behaviors. In 2016, she received her CPI certification. She also participates in yearly professional development and continuing education, taking a variety of training courses in autism, co-morbid conditions and autism, safety issues in the home and school, anxiety and OCD in ASD, effects of medical experiences on childhood development, sleep issues, assessing and treating challenging behaviors, post-secondary transition, medical support for individuals with ASD, optimistic parenting: hope and help for individuals with challenging behaviors, technology, exercise and nutrition, education, behavior analysis, abuse recognition, facilitating independence, and behavior support. She loves being apart of our EdD family and hopes to continue to work with the amazing supervisors, children, and families within her division for a long time to come.
