What Is An IEE? 

An IEE is an evaluation of a child for the purposes of determining a special education program that is performed by personnel outside of the school system. That’s why simply put an IEE is called an “outside evaluation.”

“A “special education evaluation” is a process used for making decisions about a child’s eligibility for special education. A special education evaluation is done to decide whether your child has a disability and whether your child requires special education and related services.”
